Would you go on vacation by yourself, and if so where would you go?

If I had the chance to go on a vacation by myself, I would love to go to one of the getaway ranches with horseback riding, but a high tech type of ranch with cool computer system to play with in the rest of my free time. I would love to have time to just play on the computer. Currently I have been working 70 hour weeks with everything from web design to proposal writing...
Well Currently I just have the Event module removed. I figure I will return to that problem later. Currently I am dealing with the problem of ArcIMS with ArcSDE 9.2. My MXD files that I have created services with are not being displayed. The No Server for this Service error is showing. I also can't seem to get AXL files that have SDE connections to show. I don't want to use Direct Connect as the IMS server is already fairly overloaded... :( Currently my thought is that I may have to install ArcGIS Desktop on the server to make it work. When upgrading to 9.2 I took it off (just a week ago) and haven't reinstalled. Due to overload issues I was hoping to avoid it.
I am looking for someone else who uses Drupal as a content management system. I just created a site with the new 5.1 version and have been having problems with the event module. The other site I have (on a different server) is not having trouble.. but is Drupal 5 and one version older on MySQL and PHP also. Not sure which thing is causing problems. The error appears as an error with event_init function and causes my web server to quit returning pages (as soon as the event module is loaded).
Any suggestions?
Have many people upgraded to ArcIMS 9.2? I started the conversion, but haven't managed to get the Servlet to hook ArcIMS to Tomcat. My Tomcat says that it is working but the ArcIMS check doesn't return anything. When trying to install the 9.2 it wanted me to upgrade the Tomcat... thus the current problem.
We have switched our computers to 9.2 (Desktop), but found problems with using ArcIMS 9.1. We are also having trouble with ArcSDE 9.1, but are waiting for a CD for 9.2 for that. Is that an easy upgrade? I plan to get back to work on the IMS later this week. I diverted to work on some web sites (seperate from GIS).
Hi all,
I personally develop for both ESRI products and open source GIS (along with a multitude of other things).
Just got back from the school field trip to DC. The group left for the airport on Wednesday morning and went to the local airport. We then flew to Baltimore.... After breaking into small groups, we took off to the Air and Space Museum. Having been there in 2000, not much had changed. My son though did not remember our previous visit and was pretty impressed. We then took a group tour of the monuments, and go to see each monument, stopping at several to take pictures and walk around. The next day we go to tour the capitol, though not Republican, I was impressed with Rep. Ron Paul's staff. We then got to see the Supreme Court building on a quick walk through before heading on to the Holocaust Museum. Though not something I wanted to see (the thought of the holocaust happening is traumatizing enough), several of the kids were impressed by the hugeness of what happened. We then got dinner on our own. Kev and I went to Chinatown with friends. Kev loved his meal and was able to then find a Chinese Grocery and find his favorite candy (Sweet and Sour Plums). The next morning we got to go to the Basilica to tour (a very beautiful place) and then headed off on our own again for the afternoon. Our group decided on the spy museum. It was one of the places I really wanted to see, but do to the short attention span of my son, it was a very short visit. It was also one of the most populated places we went so everything was packed. After heading back to the hotel, we ventured out in a group of 17 (47 were on the trip total). Taking the metro to Chinatown we ate directly across at Fudruckers, then herded everyone back to the hotel. At this point all the parents ventured down to the hotel bar to relax and the kids took over the floor of the hotel to celebrate. We then ventured to Arlington the final morning before heading off to the airport. Arlington also being one of the spots that I was not excited about seeing. It was interesting though to see the Robert E Lee house and hear the story of how it was obtained by the Union.
Amazingly I hardly touched my computer during the trip. Now I need to venture back to fixing bugs and paring down my to do list.... :)
I got busy and didn't finish the story of this summer.... I went to conferences in Houston, San Antonio, and Vermont and Kentucky.
This year we have also lost my grandmother and had many other things happen this year.
The funny part, my mother decided now is the time to switch phones again. The cingular phones didn't work well, so she is going to try Nextel. My oldest started swimming lessons today also.
School has started back up. My schedule is slowing going back to normal. This summer has been a very busy one - so I thought I would write about it in parts. First I went with a friend to Houston for a conference. We decided to take the long way there. We were going to the AWRA GIS conference. On the way we decided to stop at Mississippi Mud. This is a recreation in minature of the Mississippi River. Then we tried Graceland. We just wanted to see it. Apparently you can't walk up to the house with out tickets and we were at the very end of the day - and still had a ways to drive. That evening we stopped in the state of Mississippi. The next day we went through Vicksburg and saw the National Historic Park. From there we drove down the scenic highway and saw part of the state. More about the Houston trip tommorrow.
